Which Header Collectors ?
Getting closer to building headers for the 65. Looking at several brands and designs of collectors... Any suggestions?

Dave,
For total performance value, it is hard to beat a standard conventional straight collector. I like the Hedman brand because they have a good selection of sizes and they are made right here in Georgia.
The guys that tend to need the more expensive tri-Y and merge type collectors are trying to wring every ounce of power at a specific rpm range....Comp Eliminator...Stock...Super Stock.
Just my opinion..

Sounds good ... Some of those things are expensive and unless they're worth a lot of power I don't need em.. Just building a bracket car anyway. By the way I need a mid plate.

I share Keith's opinion. I like the merge and megaphone style of collector especially made of stainless, but the price as related to regular bracket applications just don't add up to me! Shoe polish is a very inexpensive and a dynamic approach to consistent performance. It too allows for a beer or two between rounds instead of wrenching on the car and looking for performance!

They can be worth big power, but the problem is the time and expense figuring out what the engine wants. We have see some big gains playing with the EMC stuff.
