Remote water pump

Has anyone tried using an intercooler pump to circulate water through the heads for an alky motor? Curious since they are priced half or less than the pumps through jegs or summit.

I use one with 3/4 hose to 2 #8 lines into the block.lt works great and dont get in the way of the belt drive.also less weight than the block mounted pumps.
