I am hoping for 650. Just bought a spear plate and a taper spacer to try on the dyno. Already thinking your right on the stall. Any good spark plug recommendations ?

Stick hose in the carb!!! It'll suck the booster right off.

Brake boosters have a check valve so that you have a reserve of air that will build up during cruising. If you can use a larger carb spacer it can be drilled and tapped for your PS line. Or drill and tap the back of the carb flange.

Its a piece of cake. I drill all the way into the plenum with a 1/8" bit then the tap drill for the fitting just deep enough to tap and have sufficient thread.

Very interesting I like it. Is the cam a flat tappet or hydraulic roller?

Re: 545
Guessing by the CID and your cam spec's it will have some vacuum, though probably not alot. You could drill and tap, for a fitting between the carb and the intake, on a spacer plate, and install a barb fitting. If you where joking around, never mind.

Re: 545
Your engine looks very nice, and the 63 should run really good. When you get it running, if you have a vacuum guage, I would be interested in what kind of vacuum it actually pulls at idle, and the idle RPM? With the cubic inch displacement, and the cam your are running, I would wager , it will be higher than most would expect. You can also add a vacuum canister, if you are not happy with your brake pedal sensitivity. PS: I did not see the second page, or someone posted before I did, and I missed the posts, recomending the spacer, glad you got the base drilled OK, I did one before, and it is a scarey operation like you said.

625 / 625 all done before 6000 rpm, still nice motor. Put manual brakes on it.
