I know this sounds dumb but what is the 14? Is the thread fine or regular? grade 8 bolts should be all right?

Stock is a grade 5 bolt and the 14 is threads per inch. Coarse bolt thread , grade 8 would work .

^^^^ what he said. Grade 8 bolts will work great! Imperial (standard) bolts are measured by threads per inch. Metric are measured by distance between the pitch of the threads. i.e m10x1.5 means 10mm diameter and 1.5 mm between the pitch of threads.
