Longtime lurker, recently signed on. Been building BBF's for 25 years. Learned the business at Ferris State College in Michigan, hence the FSC 1982 handle. At the time, Ferris was one of the few places in the U.S. you could get a degree in Automotive Machine. Cut my teeth in a parts store/machine shop back when parts stores HAD machine shops. Moved on to self employment and over 10 years time, built a loyal base.  Shifted gears and took a tool and die apprenticeship to pay the bills. Good move, 15 years of seniority now and 4 weeks vacation. Kept my equipment, now I build the ones I want. That's about it. Glad to be here. John.

One project going, as we speak, is a new 533 inch shortblock going under a set of TFS Streets for a puller that made 750 on the pump with a 514 last year. Nothing radical, Scat forged 4.300, Scat 6.8's, Diamond flattops. One thing of note though is this will be the first engine with the new steel 4 bolt caps (similar to the Blue Thunder) for the thin web block that I had CNC machined from 1045 blanchard ground plate. Was just plain fed up with the spotty availability of this style cap and I don't think much of the Milodon cap/spacer deal. I know this engine isn't at the edge of necessity for a steel cap but the customer asked for them. I had them stress relieved and normalized but I haven't line bored it yet, so we'll have to see how that goes. More later. John
