429 or 460 with procharger f1r?
I have a 91 notch. Combo right now is a Motorsport Sportsman 9.5 deck 351w, it is 411 ci with 10.1.1 compression, ported victor jr heads, victor sr intake, 950 blow through carb with an F1r. Runs 5.70@125 in the 1/8th at 3250 lbs with 17lbs of boost. Been thinking about changing combo to a big block ford. I can get a machined dove-a block with 4 bolt cap conversion and a ported set of Trick flow street heads that flow 385 from a buddy. I was playing around with the idea of using these to build a 429 with an industrial crank with 3.59 stroke. Thinking that the bigger bore of the big block and less stroke with 430 something cubes, better heads and the f1r would be faster than my 351 combo I have now. Looking to get this car in the 5.20 range.

What rpm are you spinning your blower at now, and how high are you spinning the motor?

Only spinning blower 63000 rpms. Spinning motor to 6800 rpms. Trans is a th400 with 3.70 gears. Car 60 fts 1.30. So far can't leave on trans brake, it wants to go on bumper. Running 275 radials.

What ignition box and rear suspension set up.
Sounds like, and would think you have enough power to go .20's. Just missing the set up or ignition curve.

I have a programmable 6al box. Going to switch to an msd grid system. Total timing has been 22 on E85. Rear suspension is adjustable upper and lowers, anti roll bar and double adjustable afco shocks.

Grid system work very well, or a 7531. I have many curves for either I can send you to get you started.
If your afco's are off the shelf units. Do your self a HUGE favor and have them to get valved to your car, get it scaled and send them to Mike Metzger (sp?) I have his card some where, I can get his number for you if you need.

Cool, you should be able to get in the low 1.20 sixties with the grid set up. It just takes lots of hits and testing. What first gear ratio in the trans? How much converter?
