Would like to say Hello
Hello to One and All. Newbie to Your site. At 60 years old, I have decided it is about time to get back in the saddle and have some fun. The kids are grown and out of the house, so I have some time to myself. I have a couple of projects in the garage and will be looking for information and ideas from You fellas. I'm new to the "385" series big blocks and am a willing learner. I have a 1970 Maverick that I just put a 1970 Base 429 Cobra Jet in. I understand that is the same as a "Thunder Jet". Rated at 360 H.P. Beside it is my 1964 Mercury Marauder that just got a 1971 Lincoln 460 transplant. Both were low mileage originals (the engines) that came from cars that were killed in a garage that had a huge tree fall on it. since I am new to these engines, I will be looking for information on where to go with what I have that will result in money and time not being wasted. I may ask some stupid questions in the beginning, but rest assured they will get better. Have a Great Day.
