Now that might exceed my carry on allowance!
I spoke to a body guy today and he's going to take on the repair job.

Broke the engine.
When I started it to move into the water it sounded like crap. When I got back to my pit I pulled the bonnet and noticed the balancer not where it should be, laying over a little.
Turns out it broke the crank between No1 main and the first rod journal.

But sometimes you just take your foot off the gas pedal and NEVER NEVER hit the brakes.PanaVet wrote:I feel for ya buddy.

Wow sorry to hear of the damage to your cars & trucks.
It makes me question my sanity to even want to race much less to be squirrelling $$$ for racing.

Stephen,
That's looking good! Will you be back for the Nationals?

Re: Drag racing is a cruel mistress
I don't know if I'll be back for the Nationals Colin. I'm not sure what the final tally will be as far as fibreglass repairs and paint go. I'm not going to stress about a time frame, but I'll be back as soon as I can. I have some unfinished business with that race track
