Hey Jeff....
I dont think I ever did hear what kind of times and mph you were running with your stang? It looks like you have enough Hide out back to handle about whatever your motor could make .. I remember you saying what you paid for that roller ..and I think you stoled it !!

I haven't had much time to got to the track due to my shift work, but last year I got an 11.81 @ 115 out of it. I have only been once this year and ran a slip n slide 7.80 @ 94 in the 1/8. The 460 is coming out and going into my 66 Galaxie for a daily driver. 9:1 compression, D3 heads, hyperyoucrackedit pistons, and a pretty mild solid cam from rmcomprandy. This thing idles pretty smooth, and should be fun to drive to work.
I must add, I called Randy looking for a solid cam that would turn some more rpm's but be a little less snotty than the hydraulic I had. He sent me a cam that is much more tractable, idles better, and went 2 mph faster in the 1/8 mile. Best of both worlds. I'll be calling him for the next cam too.

That's right Russ. This was never a "race" motor. I bought an unknown rolling chassis, and wanted to put something mild in there to see if it would go straight. It seems to be working fine, so now I will build a "real" motor for it. The guys at work joked on my 2.5 second reaction times, but I just wanted the other drivers to get out of the way before my untested junk did something stupid and tagged a 50k car. Now that I know the car works..........
