C6 Burn Outs

Doing burn outs, I have been using the line lock and starting in 1st gear, then 2nd and 3rd.
Is it better for burn outs to start in 2nd?
What about not using the line lock and starting in 2nd then 3rd ?

Start in first your band will last much longer.

I always started mine in 1st once I got it to spinning I shift to 2nd I never used 3rd in the burn out box. I don't do any John Force burn out that just a waste of good rubber for my slow turd.

Mine seemed to last longer starting in first. I could be wrong.

Use your line lock start out in 2ond and go to 3rd when the tires start to drag the RPM release the line lock and come burnin out of the box. Works for me.

X2. Won't hurt the band,did it on a C6 w/kevlar bands for 7 yrs.w/o any issues. Hell i even made a few passes leaving the line in 2nd.
