Victor Intake Question
Hey guys, I just bought a Victor form Lem, and I need to run my power brakes and tranny vaccum can I just put a Tee on the back of the carb port and run it there ?
Also I was thinking about putting it on my engine with the pro comps till I get blake to work on my PI's, I know there will be a port mismatch but do ya think it will be better then the stealth ? I have a Torker II but I'm having a hell of a time getting it to seal on the back china wall, so I have took it off.
Thanks Shane

Re: Victor Intake Question
I put a T in the back of my carb that goes to the PCV and brake booster but I dont have the best brakes. Im not sure its the best idea. This winter I think Im going to tap the back of the intake just below the carb pad.
Im running a track heat intake btw but the designs are pretty much the same.

Like what Kris said, while it's off now, drill and tap the back of the intake just below the carb pad, and pull your brake vacuum from there. That's the right way to do it, and now is the time to do it

Charlie Do you thimk tapping the carb pad is something I could do with a drill and tap or should I just have it done ? What size should I tap too ? and should I just run tranny vaccum off the tapped port ? or could I run both ? I have a pretty big cam, .258/.260 @ .050 so my brakes arent like factory but if I dont run the vaccum I almost strain a nut tryin to stop LOL

Re: Victor Intake Question
1/4" NPT should be good for a power brake line; with a TEE in it you may have to go as big as 3/8" NPT.

Re: Victor Intake Question
Find a good 1/8" NPT 3/8" barb fitting. I am using a stainless one that is just as big of an ID as a 1/4" NPT 3/8" barb, but the 1/8" is so much easier to put between those rear runners under the carb pad.
If you have a carb spacer, you might be able to drill and tap that vs. the intake, but wither way will work just fine.
