The bottom bolts are just in the cover however, one of them is a through hole.

Is it the bottom (Right One)? This is not one of the holes you would use with electric water pump it on bottom of the back plate.Any tips on how you guys have fixed or made better after stripping the small 5/16 bolts when installing motor plate.thanks

the hole is the open hole . pull the timing cover and put a helicoil in it . don't do it with the cover on as you get filing in the motor and the install tit for the helicoil when you break it off to finish the install will undoubtedly will fall on the timing gear and lock and break the chain an the first fire up!

Well, went got a 3/8 tap with 2 new bolts grade 8.Oil the tap up with a little Blaster and begin gentle and easy lol.I marked the tap with yellow marker 1 inch then screwed it in back and forth blowing the shaving out with air compressor. Then install 3/8 bolts and all looks good with no leaks.Put all together and fired up everything look@sounds great.
