Paul
I'm not trying to avoid ya, I removed my larger mag and installed my sprint mag, seems like it might clear the blower belt?
If it doesn't ill be ordering one of your off-set drives...

Re: be on the look out.
Hey whatever works. Fact is I was wanting to talk only because I was going to suggest first trying smaller pulleys top and bottom (which would keep pulley ratio the same/similar).blown86hallet wrote:Paul

I have to run the size I have.
I'm running a U-joint off my damper to my drive line, with that said I needed 4 1/2" min ID on my smallest pulley.
Ill post pics of my adaptor and U-joint

Re: be on the look out.
Whew, good.
What's the angle of the v-drive and is u-joint mandatory? Are you running a balancer or a blower hub so that the pulley could be flipped around?

Re: be on the look out.
The v-drive is a 10deg
The Angle will between 2 - 5 deg. Fingers crossed
But the snout and v-drive plane will be dead flat ( like a solid drive line circle boat )
I'm getting my deg from the installation of engine more on the drivers side.
Putting the engine more on the inside ( sort of speak.) like dirt tracking.
I don't have the exact measurements for how far to the left the engine will be from center. I'm still setting the placement of the engine length from the rear of the boat. Looking between 35" to 33 1/2".
Once I get my placement from the rear ill figure how far to the left I can go keeping my u-joint deg happy.
I'm running a damper.

Re: be on the look out.
Here's a BBC-snouted setup with PTO for a build I was doing for a Super Stock style circle boat with a 429 steel truck crank:
I understand now that you relocated your engine for LTO, thought maybe you wouldn't necessarily need a U-joint up against the balancer.

Re: be on the look out.
Lance Faulkner use to set his engines in on the left with no u-joint.
After lance passed away and Ty newton took over the drivers seat Ty and his dad jim started looking for a "super bad vibration". Well engine to the left solid drive line, not a happy boat
Dave rankin is running a u-joint, off the v-drive thou.
I'm not saying my attempt at this is gonna work?
But you will never know unless you try. Fingers crossed.
Sucks you guys couldn't get that ford in the field.
Then they go and change the rules " chevies only!"
