Re: COE's
I would love to find one in decent condition! Sometimes I think I ought to quit messing around and wasting money on these common trucks. Spend the time looking for something that would really be worth the time and money.

Re: COE's
Did they ever make a truck designed like the COE except a lot larger? I really want a COE thats the size of a semi.

Re: COE's
In the 80's Fords top of the line COE class 8 truck was a CLT 9000 tandem axle or a CL 9000 single axle. Before that it was the "W" series which looked like a cracker box stuck on a chassis. Both were way cool and Ford introduced the air ride cab on the CLT and was laughed at for doing it but now it's almost standard on any class 8 truck. Go to truckpage.com ( I think) and look there for them. They both are so cool. Good luck.

Re: COE's
Ford also made the C600 series starting in 1958 through to the 80's.
Another "later" model coe.
48-50
White
Mid 50's Ford
A couple other places to find cabovers.

Re: COE's
Nice pics...the "late model" pic is actually a chopped top "w" model Ford. I didn't include the "C" series because the OP asked about semi sized cab overs. My favorite cab over is actually the "N" series of the 60's they came with everything from a 300 six to a 350 hp diesel to a 534 gas V8. trying to find one in decent condition is tough.

I'm not a trucker but those C series are big trucks to me. lol. Much larger in size than the old COE's anyways. We had one of the farm for hauling grain when I was a kid. The N series I would definitely consider as a semi size.
Another C from the farm. Before my time. lol

All the one's I have ever seen has had bad rust. You would need to be one of those guys that could turn a flat sheet of metal into a bowling ball.

Re: COE's
This place in North Dakota has some nice project trucks and cars. Of coarse, any of them are going to need some extensive work to restore.

Re: COE's
Stacey David of "Gearz" was building this '69 International Loadstar which started out being very cool, but after he stuck that wrecker body and boom on it, it lost some of that cool factor for me. I do love that custom bench seat he had made for it.

Re: COE's
For whatever reasons North Dakota, Washington and Colorado seem to have the most COE and usually in pretty decent shape.
