Quick change gear box question
I have a 84 F150 4x4, I'm wondering in I can run a quick change gear box like a SCS or Cyclone gear box with my factory driveline on the street? Does anyone know if I raced everything locked in 4wd on the street would brake anything. Spool in the rear and limited slip in the front?
Does anyone have experience with these two gear box manufacturers?
The truck is going to be more show but I would like to be able to goof off with my local racing buddies.

No one has ever dealt with the SCS, Cyclone gear box's I guess.
Ok, let me ask this basic question; How would a Dana 44 handle asphalt full throttle pulls?

I've ran mine one time in 4x4 at the track. It spun all four 37" Goodyears off the line. I do have chromoly shafts and new spicer joints.

I have the SCS, but never attempted on the street. As high as she whines at high speed on the dunes, I cannot imagine shit staying together on the street for very many runs

I was wondering which one had the loud whine to it, if I'm not mistaken it's just the straight cut gears. I'm wondering if they can be indexed so I can run the factory offset axle. I would like to run a quick change instead of the atlas cases.

I've got a ProFab in my truck and the biggest problem would be that there is no 2wd option unless you take off the front driveshaft. Driving on pavement in locked 4wd is a bad idea.

Thats what I mean, I would be driving it 4wd all the time beside when the hubs are unlocked.
