So, they are wrong. If/when a guy had a hachet spacer it would do the 'balance' deal.

If you still need help on this, give me a call. Just noticed the post.
Typically, when dealing with aftermarket balancers, trigger wheels and mandrels, very few combos just bolt on like you would expect. Lots of variations, but I can help fix it.

crank trigger
It seems as tho CT's are fairly common on this site. Ive already asked this question on PB dyno forum and all the answers came back pretty the same: mount the pickup as if it dumps the coil as soon as the magnet passes the pickup. My Engine Builder said he remembers that the coil is dumped when the manget is 10* past the pickup. Engine Builder is highly respectable and without starting a pissing match, Im asking true life experiences of where to drill the holes on the plate so we don't F ourselves later.
Motor is a total jet boat Trailer Queen. 505, Jesel, TFSstreets,13-1, solid roller cam from Harold Brookshire, custom carbs from engine builder... blah blah
This question is about where to mount the pickup vs the flying magnet
Thx in advance, Zach
