brake problems
got an 1989 f-150, i got rid of the booster for the master cylinder. I replace the manual master cylinder, but the truck will not stop, any ideas?

did you change the ratio on the pedal? correct length push rod?

I have bled the brakes and the pedal is hard when push it in...

you used the correct manual parts, not the power brake parts? Just swaping the master won't cut it.

Define "will not stop". Like it won't stop at all or is the pedal just hard? A hard pedal requires a smaller bore master cyl. Manual brakes usually have a different pedal ratio as well. That is why Dave is asking if you switched the pedal as well as the m/cyl. The manual brakes are harder so the pedal will give you more leverage making the pedal easier to push down.
