turbo cheetahs shifter?

Having an issue adjusting cable so gear selection matches up with gate. C4 reversed manual valve body. Reverse hits between P and R. Followed instructions pulling shifter all the way down to 3rd as well as trans selector and adjust cable to the hole. Anyone deal with these shifters?

Only way I ever got mine adjusted was to put tranny in neutral, shifter in neutral and adjust cable there. Make sure it lines up perfectly. My trans was a c-6.

I'd say you have a gate plate for a GM trans

I ordered it for c4 reverse manual. Funny thing is that I can pop cable out of shift lever that came with shifter and installed, pull shifter into any of the gears and then put shift selector on trans in same gear and cable end slips right into it with no issues.

Best 3 speed shifter on the planet IMO. Adjust cable in first if manual valve body, or third if stock valve body. Adjusting in neutral should work also. You sure you have the right shift lever on the trans?
