Maddog headers need a body lift to fit? Empty Maddog headers need a body lift to fit?

Pulling stock BBF this winter to install new engine.  Want to run nice set of headers and want the MD as they are close by and have some good reviews by most.  Do they need a body lift to fit?  Thought I read some places say you need it.  Trucks to tall as it is sitting on 42's.  I can trim sheet metal if thats all it is, steering is my worry.  How is turning with the fenderwells,, likely sucks too?  I hit springs with rubber before the locks now, dont want to loose any more if I can help it. Here is a pic of it as it was this spring, the family loves it. Time to get some different sheet metal in it and give it some real ass. Pretty weak with a entirely stock drivetrain. 5.38 are in the barn for it, just need a spare weekend.

Give Mark a call. He's good to work with. My truck was used to protype the 2-1/4" into 4 header for the 92-96 fenderwell exit BBF headers. Here are pictures of the prototypes installed at his shop. He already had the design for smaller tube headers, but I'm not sure how those fit as I haven't seen them. My body is a 95 F150 with no body lift, fyi.

We have ran maddog headers on a 1985 F-250 and on the newer body style (88-96) f-250/350 without a body lift no problem for steering with stock type heads. (Not A-460 etc)... tires hitting the headers when turning sharp...yea that happens to us but our front ends are dropped way down for pulling.-A

Thanks guys, I'll make a call this week. Jeff's has them listed at $455, not bad for what they are.

I just ordered a set of 2-1/4" fender exit headers for my 84 F150. We talked a good 20min and he aid they will clear with out a body lift but a body lift will help with clearance.
