External balance flex plate

Ok-- here's what I've got--- on the very first start-up of my 523, the motor kicked back and broke several teeth off the flex plate. This has happened about 2 more times in the life of the motor and now I have a few spots w/ teeth missing.

Question is- rotating assembly consists of a cast Skat 4.3" crank that was balanced internally in the front and externally in the rear. It looks like the balance was achieved by drilling 2 holes in the stock weight that is attached to the flex plate-------- can I simply purchase another Skat external balance flex plate and copy the drilled holes to maintain the balance of my entire rotating assembly?

the Best way to do it is to get the machine shop that did the balancing in the first place they should have the balance sheets to redrill the flywheel...

Better be fixing the kickback problem also.

Looks like this shop left that little piece of info off???
