VIN Decoder Empty VIN Decoder

A 73 Ranchero was given to me this weekend, MINUS the 429 that was in it. I tried numerous sites online, to decode the VIN, but no luck. The 429 that came out had the 73 emission sticker on the valve cover, so the car COULD be a last year for 429 car. I have a D1 shortblock I am going to rebuild, with D0VE heads. I think 450 horses, and 3.50 gears will make for a fun street ride!

I was under the impression that 72 was the last year for the 429 and 73 was all 460. I have been wrong before of course!!! Sounds like a nice project!! Good luck
