Fe 427" and Nitrous
thinking of doing an Fe427 witha kit or two for my fairlane, anyone experience with it or have any idea how they would react? what heads and block to use? just an idea but wanna research before i break the bank building one,

It will work fine IMO, I would avoid the factory blocks and get one of the aftermarket ones.
Barry Rabotnick at Survival Motorsports is a good place to start for an FE.
Blair Patrick is another FE guru that would be good too.

I agree Dave, those 2 know a thing or 2 about the FE.

I used to run a 427 center oiler at 458 cubic inches. Ran 10.20's N/A but never ran any nitrous through it. Just stay on top of the tune and be careful. That old iron is getting rare and expensive...

it is rare and very expensive, just wanted to do something a little different for the 55' fairlane, and try to run a little local quick 8 etc stuff like that for fun

You can buy everything brand new from the aftermarket. No reason to use the rare factory parts.

BBM has new blocks
A new company bear block machine has new 427 blocks and heads available .The guy running it has been a ford guy for years .Check the FE forum for info Or Jay Browns FE forum www.fepower.net several builds with the bbm heads on there .And the blocks are supposed to available this fall .Pricing is fair
