10 inch or 12 inch wheel
I am stuck on deciding to mini tub my car and put a 12 in wheel on it or to leave the 10 inch wheels on it and just do double adjustable coilovers. In the past with my last setup I could cut 1.24 60 ft on the back tire but it was inconsistent. With just strange single adjustable shocks and 4cyl springs on the rear. This new set up will make more power than the last.

if u can do it your self id just go ahead and mini tub it . the kits are fairy cheap and in a weekend u can have them in and ready to go . esp in a hatchback ! then ucan run what ever wheel u want . team z also sells the coil over mount kits

Not trying to be a smart ass at all here. It sounds to me from what I read, you already know a big part of your issue. Upgrade the shocks. Mini tubbing and changing the wheels isn't going to fix the shocks that are not up to par. If anything it will probably get worse. And it doesn't sound like traction is the issue if it's on the rear tires 1.2x sixtey footing.

28/10.5 on a 10. No bead locks just had wheel screws. I'm planning on getting my shocks from menscer motorsports. And I can do the mini tubs myself
