Mmmm, That bearing sure shows classic overloading. Methinks it's time to step'em up to something tougher or find the cause (detonation?).

The fuel guys simply use Micro Babbit bearings and flatten 'em out instead of the fretting; then just change 'em every run. Saves the cranks though...!

just so everyone is clear these pics are from the old 2-bolt block i had (521) weisco slugs, r and r rods , rpm crank .......that motor saw a lot of poor nos tunes on it .....in my opinion
