summit 3501 cam
I was wondering who ever used this cam in a stock 77 460. and what was the idle like? little lumpy? it is the 218@50 on the intake and 228@50 on the exhaust with a 114 c/l .

You'd be much better served presenting your current engine/vehicle setup, goals, and asking for cam recommendations based on those variables. It's highly unlikely you'll get feedback on a generic 'Summit fits few' cam grind here.

I think that the exhaust duration is too long and the lobe sep is too wide to be optimum in a stock/low compression 460. I think that you would be better off to choose the smaller cam in that line that's ground on 110.

Besides, that part number camshaft from Summit seems to have changed throughout the years so, they must be getting it from different places...
