front runners (service life)
How often do you replace your front tires. Tread wear seems ok, but they have been on the car for several years. The car weighs 3,050 with my fat A-- in it. Top speed
is 148ish in the quarter, 119 in the eighth.

Service life of a tire is 3yrs. even if it hasn't been sold/mounted.
Tire company's pull pull them from the stores if not sold.

That's because of liability laws.Front runners kept up and away from sun will last for years.

Re: front runners (service life)
Exposing frontrunners & slicks to welding arc light is the same as exposing them to the sun & can have the same effects. So if slicks/tires are stored in the shop while welding, cover/shield them from the arc light.

Keep 'em cool and covered...they last a long time. Don't...and they're good for a 2 or 3 years. Fortunately they're not as expensive as slicks.

The set i have on mine i bought used like 7 years ago and they have been 170 plus... The car goes on jackstands when not in the trailer or at the track.

Also if you leave your ride in a enclosed trailer with braer plywood floor it will pull the oil out of the rubber and cause weather cracks.
