Carb Size questio

Hey guys,
I am currently selecting a carb for my Galaxie. It has a 460 making around 500 to 550 horsepower. I want a Quick Fuel carb, but am worrying about the size. I was originally looking at a 750 but a dealer friend of mine can get my the 880 vs for about the same price. Is that to much carb?.

Is this car just a cruiser or will it see a liittle track time?

It will be a 95% cruiser. Twice a year I go to the track just for fun.
