The experimental heads had extra meat welded in them, to apply that to a std head you will have a dutchlincoln syndrome..............

I am going to be experimenting on mine this winter, I have some Ideas and I think I can make them work....

Some new seats, intake valves and some rubbing willl do small wonders.....

So are the CNC versions going to be a generic ported version of the streets or are they supposed to be an out of the box max effort port job? Similar to the way the SCJ and P51 heads sort of line up. I know they are never going to be as good as a set of custom application specific ported heads, but just curious if it would be worth spending the extra money on the CNC's or just get the regular streets and have them ported later.

Hopefully, they'll have them available as products soon on their site to answer all these questions.

The other thing I noted is the cnc ported heads say 80cc chambers. I thought the normal streets were 74cc chambers. What would be the reason to enlarge the chamber, other than to drop compression?

^^you cant handle TFS streets, be it box stock, ported or CNC'd.

Larger market share for stroker combos on pump gas is one benefit. Right now there are few head choices for a 80-85 cc chamber. Blue Thunder is one and Edelbrock has a 95 cc version.
Beyond that, one would have to step up to A460 TFS to get something bigger than 72-74 cc chambers.

Has anyone put these heads on a flow bench? How much did they improve the exhaust port? When they say the exhaust was raised .270 is that just the port or port & exhaust bolt pattern?
