Just Got Gun License, What's first??

Hey folks,

My wife and I both just got our gun licenses. We live in Canada and just have the non-restricted ticket. This only allows us to buy "long guns", no hand guns. I know, Canada gun laws are a pain lol!!

I would like to get a 22 but I haven't seen ammo for 22's for months. My wife hasn't fired a gun before so I don't want to start her off on a 12 ga!! I had thought about a .38 lever gun, any other thoughts??

I plan on getting an Remington 870 as well.

Had one, not for a lady. .357 lever gun with light 38s would be great. .300 Blackout would be good too, if you can do an AR.

A 25-06 is a great low recoil rifle also my wife shoots one and a 270 short mag she likes them both

The 270 short mag has a little more kick

Oh noooo, the AR is black and therefore a scary gun in Canada lol!!! Its really too bad, they are such a versatile platform.

Anyone know what the deal is with the 22 ammo?? I doubt the DOD is stocking up with rimfire rounds!!

How about a AK then   in stock form it's wood not synthetic black

The 22 deal is its no recoil and a 7yr old can shoot it..... SHTF kinda stuff

We just haven't had any 22 rounds up here for a year or more. I was thinking it would be an easy gun for her to start out on, plink some tin cans and get used to the basics. There used to be stacks of 22's sitting on the shelves.

Get a good 30-06 or 30-30. They are both very capable guns and ammo can be found.

44 speciality or mag in a rifle is fine for a woman an is actually a good brush gun.

I got 3 lever guns 30-30 , 35rem , and a Henry 45-70 have never owned a 44 but I think it would be a good gun.....

That might be a good option!! The lever guns sure are sweet to use. A nice smooth pump shotty is fun too!!

410, 3'' 00-defense, deer slug, some will shoot 45. They have some pretty nice defense rounds for'em ; Also can be used to hunt with. not many people look twice at a 410. SUPPRISE!!!!!
