George wrecked

I heard he is in the hospital, the new mustang is totaled. Prays for a full recovery George !!!! We love yah buddy

Sorry for my ignorance, but which Mustang owner on here is George, I cant seem to place the car. Sorry to hear, Prayers for a speedy recovery.

George Keown, he owns the black truck on the site but recently acquired a black mustang. He just posted on Facebook he was released and headed home.

Glad you/he is out the hospital...  cars can be fixed or replaced..

Kid just wadded up a Taurus... whole new front clip, all sheet metal, plastic, lights etc.... 2k. Its amazing what is out there.

There is some pics on fb, car is messed up pretty bad... Hes a lucky dude in that he wasnt seriously hurt.

He is really lucky to be able to have walked away. The frame rail ended up in the driver's compartment with him. The cage failed to hold up like it should have. It lacked a couple of bars it needed in front of the driver. He is going to be sore as hell!

I'm glad he's alright. I saw the pics on Facebook and he's really lucky.

He's real lucky as bad as the car is. I had run to the gas station and grab something to eat when it happened. Got the call and got there they were loading him in the ambulance. Car was in the trees. Big tree took the header off the drivers side flush with the flange and was against the firewall. George's ankles took a beating. They're bruised pretty bad. He can walk but is very sore. It ended up being a c clip come off the brake petal and the pin fell out. All over a 5 cent part. I hate it for him, he's worked his ass off for the last year on it.

Does that track not have some sorta sand trap?

To answer the question above :

That track has a grass run off area , ( maybe 400-600 feet ? ) before the tree line.

Sucks that he wrecked, glad he's not seriously hurt

again guy's where can we go on FB to see what happened, I hope he is not to sore and gets back at it soon!!!!!!!

Any updates on George? We were there and that car was a mess. Just wondering if he is doing ok?

heard thru facebook he was ok , that he was starting to put the truck back together

I talked with George. Said he is ok. Was still sore when I talked to him. ESP. In neck and voice box area where seat belts got him. Said he hoped to have the truck up and going soon. Maybe this coming weekend.

Wow! That is dedication to a sport! Good luck, George. Maybe see you at Hardinsburg again. We have the 98 Roush Mustang, didn't run well that day.. We were parked across from George.
