degree wheel question Empty degree wheel question

Post  GT300TD August 1st 2015, 10:53 pm

Bought a degree wheel kit from summit a while back. Was going to use it and bought a #4798 crankshaft bolt, the only one available to fit a BBF. The bolt requires a 1" hole in the degree wheel. The degree wheel has a 3/4" hole in it. Called summit and they said the degree wheel must be sized to fit. What is the best way to enlarge the hole to fit the bolt without screwing the degree wheel up. I also have a Moroso #61755 (sbc) that also requires a 1" hole so I guess it's not a 'Ford thing'. I have a 1" bit for my drill press but that seems like a rather "barbaric" method Rolling Eyes . Why in the heck don't they put a 1" hole in it to begin with Evil or Very Mad

I don't know whether or not it is still available however, the Ford Racing degree wheel like one I have here has a 5/8" hole in the center to fit the Ford snout with any Ford crankshaft bolt.
