hmm, while I may be just a junkyard/used car mechanic, I do have a running car. I do drive it and work on it. I do have two cars to play with. I also have other hobbies/toys to play with.
.....I have found that most keyboard, post happy forum pals are full of crap. just repeat stuff. I have actually purchased the stuff they spout off about and have found it doesnt even fit never mind work.

So Bob, in your opinion is it worth getting a camshaft ground for the application?

yes, yes! not only is it quicker, it runs cooler, crisper. is more fun to drive. I would also like to add who you get the custom cam from is important too.
(read between the lines) thanks again, bobn

Sorry to get off topic
Great work guys sounds like you made a good decision on custom vs shelf cam profiles

If the car runs a better number, I am all for the new cam, and it seems to be the case. I was just curious what you ended up with and was going to leave it alone if you did not want to say. Cam threads seem to be a hot topic so I usually try to stay away from them are have been pretty much lately.

It's Bob's cam. When it comes to custom cams my view is the customer paid for it, it is there. It's not mine to share. Some customers I ask If can post specs and they are fine with it. So it is up to Bob if he wants to release those numbers.

^^^^^^^ I Understand. I guess I should have been more clear or concise, I was asking Bob. Anyway I'm out of here and will try to stay miles away from anymore cam threads and stick too Religion and Politics and Gun Control since they are more easy to discuss rationally it seems LoL, Have a good Memorial Day Weekend and a Safe Race at the Ford Bash.

Re: cam change what to expect
I picked up a solid 3 tenths in the 1/8th. so the mid range is definitely stronger. once again street car... with mufflers, 3.27 gears, no chassis stiffners, small tires>235 60 15s.
just to reinterate, the wuss cam is gone, chris's cam is in. it is totally streetable, idles and runs nice. most of you real racers are not looking for something in this range but it suits me fine.

..... edelbrock rpm heads 75 cc, torker ii intake, proform 850 street carb, shorty headers, 327 gears with 26 tall tires. two ton pistons 5 in the hole,
.....cam is a wuss cam 213 219 520 lift. gonna try a 274 voodoo cam. I believe it is 227 230 and 560ish lift. I need enough vacuum for power brakes. ability to drive around minn wisc etc is important to me. will the cam change get it done? thanks bobn
I guess this answer would be mostly dependent upon how far "off" the cam you are now using, IS.
