Re: VW Smog Mess
I have a couple acquaintances who are in the EPA investigation department in AnnArbor, Michigan. They tell me that Volkswagen has been investigated about this for more than ten years now; it was hoped in the beginning that V W would clean it up themselves; when they didn't, the EPA went for the jugular against them for INTENTIONAL misrepresentation.
Re: VW Smog Mess
I hope they tell the EPA to kiss their ass.

"IMO their is alot more to this story...... VW was a major voice against the bail outs for us auto manufactures..... Think about it....." - quote D.Free
The thing to think about is.....
VW is 20% owned by the state of Lower Saxony [Germany] & 1/2 of the board of VW are appointed by the unions.

That is true VW is one of the few companies that truly give the workers a voice in the company

"Voice" ...sounds more like control to me VW is always 'bailed' out.....Lower Saxony aint gonna let that unit fail.
VW is going to go to selective catalytic reduction & urea like ever one else.

I have one because it's a nice solid car and will push 50mpg on the highway.
The pollution factor and VW fucking the EPA is a bonus!

Re: VW Smog Mess
We have asection for non-385 series stuff... Maybe could add a section for VW diesel tech, VW parts swap and even a "Used vegetable oil for racing fuel" section.
