I have a couple acquaintances who are in the EPA investigation department in AnnArbor, Michigan. They tell me that Volkswagen has been investigated about this for more than ten years now; it was hoped in the beginning that V W would clean it up themselves; when they didn't, the EPA went for the jugular against them for INTENTIONAL misrepresentation.

The thing to think about is.....

VW is 20% owned by the state of Lower Saxony [Germany] & 1/2 of the board of VW are appointed by the unions.

VW is always 'bailed' out.....Lower Saxony aint gonna let that unit fail.

VW is going to go to selective catalytic reduction & urea like ever one else.

We have asection for non-385 series stuff... Maybe could add a section for VW diesel tech, VW parts swap and even a "Used vegetable oil for racing fuel" section. Rolling Eyes
