bought a Gm truck ...

couldnt pass it up

2001 gmc 2500 hd ...high miles 186k off my buddy for $1,000
needs tires , but recently had brakes done and a rebuilt transfer case

he got a new truck

the 6.0 has good power but pig on fuel just couldnt pass it up ....going to use as a tow rig

hell new 1/2 tons are 32-33 k starting around here new
3/4 ton 40k on up

not a big Gm guy but old man owns a repair shop and said has a few work vans he works on with the 6.0 that has 220-240k miles on them

he said make sure i do a fuel pump if its never been done , gm are noted to just die fuel pump issues

We had a few in the fleet too. They where gas hogs but ran very well. The sealed front wheel bearings where a problem, and I think they can take out the break sensors also. Other then that and a defective hydraboost line, did not have any other problems.

No other problems besides being a GM.....

Pretty much and they where pre Obama bailout so it did not quite leave such a bad taste in your mouth like it does now. The 5.4 Tritions we had where nothing to brag about either.

never done them on the 6.0 ls ....did the manifolds a few years back when my brother owned an expedition with the 5.4 ,did both sides that was worst ive done .

i know i should put a ford racing sticker in the back window of truck they would be all messed up lol ...... im a ford guy but i dont get into the whole chevy ford thing as much as some . They all have there issues some worse than others but for $1,000 i just could not buy it even if it is a gm
