unless its been addressed already the inj harness will work lose under the vc, pop the ps cover off and you will see in not snapped in. Ford sells some clips that go under the lock to keep it from coming out.

The locks sag and then they work loose.............very very common problem.

The owner just replaced the vc gaskets and wiring harnes. He bought them from carquest and they are made by Dorman. He also stated that it runs worse now than it did before.
Could the ones he put on be bad?

I'd take a look at it. Mine ran like crap before I replaced the harnesses and gaskets.

I got it fixed! I took it back apart double checking everything and finding nothing wrong with the new Harnesses and valve cover gaskets . I put it all back together and fired it up same thing . So I put the old ones back on and it fixed it after putting some black tape on the skined wires from the old harnesses.

Thanks for your help.

Bad parts that are from CHINA!

Harness was probably skinned from rubbing on the pushrods. Get the harnesses from International or Ford.

Yea That is what we plan on doing. I just put the old ones back on to see if the new one were at fault and to get back to the orignal problem. Either way thanks and I got the customer going down the road and the new stuff from ford on the way.
