Re: not joking
I think you'll be sorry...even if it stays together. Ride, handling and traction should be at least as good as riding a pogo stick on a rockpile.

x2 on don't weld, But I would fix the exhaust leaks. A friend of mine did weld his on a van axle. I weld for a living and strongly recommended that he not drive the vehicle. Later that night he stuffed it into the front of his house when the axle broke on entrance to his driveway.

I seen some picks on Google of it. Looks pretty cool and had some clearins for a solid axle .I'm not a licensed welder but seen some pretty shifty home made lift kits that held up. The way it was completely boxed in doesn't look like it would brake and this thing will never see the pavement.
Re: not joking
Crap like this gets people hurt when an accident occurs and it will on road or off. At which time persons not liking the 4-wheeling hobby have more firepower to outlaw good lift kits, and parts for people who do the job correctly. Years ago I remember it being in the news where idiots were using pvc pipe and other undesirable items for body lifts and almost got them outlawed. If you want to do something wait till you can afford to do it the right way!!! A famous quote I have heard: Why is it we never have time to do a job right but always have time to do it over!
