4 new Pistons
I need to ask opinions on some Pistons I just got i. I ordered 4 new replacement Pistons and the intake valve pocket is .010 deeper and the Dome is .011 taller , , the job number is the same , Ross admitted that something went wrong , what would yall do ? would you put them in your motor or get them to make it right

the dome volume is the same 7.5 , the original piston dome .159 the 4 new is .170 , the original 8 has a .310 deep valve pocket and the new replacement 4 has .320 deep , they are the same weight , I feel they should make it right , but they trying to say it ain't no big deal that I should just use them

If this were for my personal racing engine and the piston weight is the same etc then I probably wouldn't care about it, nor would the engine know the difference (ie, any minute amount of difference isn't worth the time and trouble of replacement).

it ain't a big deal as long as it works. If that extra dome has room in the head it ain't a big deal if it don't have room it's a very big deal! You could always cut it off .011?10SHOTS wrote:

While it is true the engine will not know the difference, it is still sloppy work.

Not to be a dick but first step is to use diamond pistons in the first place..... Imo
