Valves
Are exhaust valves made of a different stainless steel than intakes. I ask because of having cut down the i.d. on some intakes to made a set of exhaust for a bastard job about 8 years ago. Got the heads back this week to refresh and found small pock marks on the top and under side of the exhaust valve heads, not present on the intakes. It has not caused trouble as of now, but I wondered about the cause.

Most are ... some are not.
Re: Valves
They can be a different alloy depending on Manufacture or part used.
Exhaust valve take a whole different beating than the intakes do.
