what gas should i run?
street and strip motor ... 13.8:1 compression ratio... iron heads... 650 hp (roughly) .. I am wondering what gas i should run.???? vp c12 seems to be recommended. motor only turns 6000 rpm... Can i run 110 turbo blue with an octane booster/??? Thanks

I would not run octane booster in race gas. Not saying it would not work but, I have never had very good results with the stuff when I tried it with pump gas. Can you get Sonco Purple 110? I think it would squeak by with your compression and it seemed to run better for me then the Turbo Blue.

I think that 110 leaded would be perfectly fine as long as your tune up is good.

110 is probably sufficient, but I wouldn't bother with the octane booster. For my street car I usually mix mine with 50/50 C-16 / 92 when I plan on nitrous passes, or C-12/92 for cruizing. My street car is a small block with less compression 12.69:1 and 2-stages of nitrous with a high limit of 8500rpm cost per gallon of race fuel got me into mixing and keeping on the tune has proved it works.

I used to spray a lot on my 12.5 smallblock also with 110, no problems.

Is using E-85 an option since it's a street/strip combo, and not a daily driver or towing/mileage deal?
