9" PG spragless tq converter.
For sale.
This is the tq convertor that I got from Nick Bruno a few yrs ago.(was in his foxbody) I believe he said it was originally built by Camerons Torque covertors. Its a 9" and fits a powerglide. Turbo spline. 6 bolt flange. Anti ballon plate. Went 6000 behind my 557. When I had it out last I had my guy tighten it up some. Should be in the 55-5600 range now.
Never ran since re stalled. Worked great in my 3800lb truck. It went a 1.41 60' on 275 radials at 3800 lbs.
$550+ship.

I ran it NA behind a 950hp 557.
Its setup for a 1/4midplate. I ran it w a .125 midplate a and one hardned washer between the convertor and the flexplate.

This is confusing me. Wouldn't it not fit if it was built for a 1/4" midplate and your plate is thinner? The thinner plate leaves less room between the converter and the flexplate?
Curious since I need a converter and I'm running a plate around .110 thick
I'm curious how much less it would stall in a 3,000lbs car? What's the stall of your new converter in your truck now?

i just know that bruno had an alum midplate and mine is a mild steel from keith fulp. and the bolts had a gap when the convertor was all the way unto the back of the crank. I had to shim it back out to make up the diffrence of the thicker midplate.
idk how it would work in your car. all i changed from when nick ran it was the fin angle. when i first got it it only went 4000 behind my motor since nick had it setup for nitrous.
my new one only goes 4500 on motor and 6000 w. spray.
Id do $525 shipped if anybody wants to try it

John,
You are correct in your thinking, you are -.015 your plate is thinner, get the washers included and measure them the plate thickness does not rule your combination out, it just means it is not the same and it worked with XXX nobody will put the final dimension on the line to say it will work but you have to deal with the dimension it worked with, beware of the starter if you add a plate.
