Lookin For NHRA Stock Class ET/MPH from 1970-71 era
Hi there I hope this is a good place to ask this.
I am compiling an ET/MPH history of how all the old 1950-1970 iron ran back in the day.
The rules (and cars) changed so much after 1971 I am stopping there.
Cant do em all.
Today's ET/MPH have almost no relevance since the technology and rules are so different.
I have found that my WerbyFord Gonkulator program can do a decent job of estimating, but I like to have some ET/MPH data on a car to start with.
I have tons of "Road Test" data on the 429tj/cj/scj cars, 90-106mph seems to be the range unless a plug wire was off.
The SCJ cars always run 100+ MPH.
But, I can find NOTHING on NHRA stock class times.
As examples I gonkulated the following but again have NO real data from back then, with 1970 NHRA class:
429/360 TJ auto: H/SA
13.24 at 104.0
429/360 TJ 4spd: H/S
12.90 at 107.0
429/375 SCJ 4spd: G/S
11.92 at 116.1
That's the kind of stuff I m looking for but REAL timeslip data.
I had a 429 TJ car bone stock but of course never went and got any timeslips that way.
I've searched the net and every book I can but very little on stock (or even super stock) 429 TJ/CJ/SCJ cars from back then.
Any help appreciated!
