What to run
I'm running a 9" Ford with a Eaton Truetrac... The last couple times out with the truck I've notice a clunk when turning right... The Truetrac has never made this noise before only does this from a stop turning right,,, The truck is a cruiser that I race a few times a year and take to DW... Been thinking about changing from a Truetrac to a Detroit locker... What are most SS cars running Truck runs 11.50s and 10.70s on nitrous with low 1.50s 60'...

Re: What to run
When you run a locker you'll hear lots of clicks and clunks...but that's normal.

TruTrac's are really not up to that kind of power. Switch to the Locker and be done with it or go full spool if you can stand it.

Re: What to run
I run a 35 spline Detroit Locker strret/strip, it is not noisy but it takes a lot to break loose (rachet) so it is hard on the inside of tires like a spool but will break loose and rachet when required, I would not want to run a spool for a DW type of application too hard on parts. I would verify that the RH clunk is the True-Trac it likely is, but sometimes parts that have loosened/broken in the suspension can sound diff related (loose locater bar/bent shock).
