Dragster cooling systems
Looking for some pictures of cooling setups. My radiator is rear mounted. Haven't bought pump yet. Also curious to see some vac system setups also. Thanks.

Im curious on the cleanest and most durable way to run the lines to the radiator mounted in the rear. Remote pump or a mezier setup

Re: Dragster cooling systems
My first (of two) dragsters had a rear mounted radiator. Ran a line from the pump over and down one side of the intake. The other line went down the other side of the intake. I drilled/tapped the water bypass tube hole in the front of the intake to take a fitting.

What size lines? I'm going to reweld the radiator inlet/outlet to except an fittings. Just 1.5 slips right now which I don't like.

Have used -8 on all 3 dragsters running on gas, with remote pumps...

I assume you have an adapter for the water pump inlets to an 8an fitting. Are these made by someone or do I have to rig weld some adapters?

Ok, seen that meziere has a set of -12 block adapters. Also see that that have a 20 gpm pump single in single out.

David, I see how you did your system off the pump. Clean.

Most remote pumps are pipe thread on the inlet and outlet...
I've used the old Teel pumps, which I don't think are available anymore
Have bought some Harbor Freight pumps which are basically the same thing...
Pump is mounted on left side on the frame rail..

I used a CSR pump and still do. CSR has a -12 fitting for their pump and then I added a -12 to -8 reducer fitting between the fitting and hose end.
Re: Dragster cooling systems
I really appreciate the input. I'm in the states to start ordering parts and designing the systems for everything. Not in a hurry. Taking my time. Its a project for my fiance and I. Just in the hunt. Always drag raced mustangs so this is my first dragster build. But it seems a standard mounted electric pump and an in line really isn't going to make or break anything. Seems to be more of a lack is space and personal preference
