Depends on the class and how hard your running it.
Bigger dosent mean it will last longer.

Re: big cubic inches in dragsters?
I've been looking up a lot of bbf builds for my dragster. I'm just gonna run a stock truck crank, new rods, forged flat tops and solid roller cam with TFS power port 290s. And alcohol. From what I'm reading every night for the last 2 weeks is it will make well over 600 and in a 1750lbs 225 hard tail dragster I don't see a need for more. I should have no problem bracket racing, quick 16's, and 8.90 index.... just what I'm reading.

615 " , car weighs 1900 lbs w/ me in the seat...
Runs mid 4.50's to low .60's in the heat...
Could I back it off and run .70's and .80's ?
Yup... I could....
But where's the fun in that ???

I'm a Ford guy. If you seen the fleet of vehicles here you'd know what I mean.... lol. Not too many around me running Ford dragsters and I used to race mustangs until I lost everything in a fire last year. I like being a target for the chevysexuals.....

Re: big cubic inches in dragsters?
This is one that I found on the Trick flow site using the heads I have. Different cam and higher compression could make a lot more....

If your buying all new stuff I'd consider doing an A460
Headed engine, great potential for future growth.
I had a 528" on with 12:1 compression that made a shade over 900hp.
