Head repair

Does anyone here repair aluminum or know of a place that repair aluminum cylinder heads. Broke a valve and destroyed combustion chamber. Or should the head be replaced.

For this type work, I can say the Chris Razor at "Hi Tech Welding, Inc." in Plymouth, Michigan is probably the best in the country but, you'll pay for his talents.

He only does the welding and the rest needs to be done somewhere else.

I am sure there are many others.

Depends on the head IMO. If it's easily replaced for a little more money I'd replace it.

IMO the whole boss needs to be machined off and new aluminum built up from there.
Then remachine the whole boss.

There is a company that will repair badly damaged aluminum heads. They can cut out all the damage. Fill it in. And machine it back to original.
If only I could remember the name. Sorry.

What is your location? There are folks spread out all over this great nation with the knowledge and tools to do it right. (also to do it wrong lol)....
