My New Truck
It's not new but is to me traded my dually off for this 2012 F150 XLT Super Crew has the new 5.0 in it so far I like it getting a little over 18 mpg back and forth to work. I have got to get a receiver hitch put on it then see how it pulls my trailer it has the towing package.

You'll love it. 85,000 miles on mine and so far it has pulled the 28' enclosed just fine empty. Will get some weight in it soon and see how it does

Good looking truck, I especially like the color. As a precaution I would seriously look into upgrading the brakes all the way around.

5.0 would be my choice.

How so Doug? Just new pads? Or calipers too?

Just rotors and pads. Powerstop has a nice kit for just two wheels or all four and it is pretty affordable at something like $438 at Rock Auto for all four for that truck. When it's time to do brakes on my F350 I plan on using there stuff. They also have a caliper upgrade if you want to go that far.
I forgot to answer your first question. Factory brakes are pretty good but there is always something better out there in the aftermarket. When it comes to towing a heavy load safer is always better.
Re: My New Truck
Thanks guys
Doug they just did a complete brake job on it when it, when it comes time to do it again I will upgrade. They turned all 4 rotors and put new pads on it Monday when I carried it for the stuff I requested before I bought it.

Nice truck Jim!!
I picked up a 07 super crew back in June.
I wanted something newer but the price was right and I got it from a buddy who was the original owner and had it detailed twice a month with oil changes every 3000 miles.

Re: My New Truck
Yours is exactly like mine except I have a super cab. Mine does well with pulling a 22 ft enclosed at 9.5 mpg and 70 mph, my open trailer was 15.5 mpg.
When the truck is a daily driver its a good compromise instead of an F250. We will have to see how John does with a 28 footer.

Griffin Ford in Tifton has it or did have it, it's using oil and compression was way down on it.
