Fuel Pump location help on F250
I am installing a Fitech Fuel Injection throttle body on my 429 Ford engine in my F250 truck.
Questions?
I am using a high pressure pump, and not the dedicated FiTech Command center unit. Instructions say to install the auxillary pump close to the tank.
Enclosed is a diagram of the proposed location
Does a high pressure external fuel pump actually pull gas out of the tank when I mount it lower than the tank in the rear just below the main tank.

Removing Fuel Pump Actuator on Cam
So when I am running a high pressure fuel pump can I leave the fuel pump cam excentric off the front of the cam?
Would I assume that I would not need to go thru the stock fuel pump to supply gas to the Fitech Throttle Body. Wouldn't this cause an obstruction to leave the stock fuel pump in the system?

Complete instructions are available on their website. http://fitechefi.com/fitech-uploads/2016/07/30001.30002Instructionsm12.9.15.pdf
You can remove the cam eccentric if you want to, but not really necessary, but I would remove the stock mechanical pump and use a block off plate. You will have to run a return line back to the fuel tank if you use a external pump. I forgot add but the external pump is good for pushing fuel, not pulling, hence the reason they say mount it close to the tank.
