67 Fairlane GTA
67 Fairlane GTA
$24,000
Jasper, AL (35504)
Not a 385 engine, but cut me a little slack lol.
Fairlane and my racecar are both for sale (other ad) when one sales the other ad gets pulled. Not selling both.
67 Fairlane GTA , factory H code 390
Car has a .030 390, about 10K miles on rebuild. Unknown part # Comp Cam, slightly lumpy idle but good driver. Dealer over the counter 3X2 kit. Carbs are correct. Edelbrock water pump, electric fans, aluminum radiator. Still have the factory rad, clutch fan and shroud. Recurved Duraspark with a MSD built Summit brand Digital 6 ignition box. 428 factory valve covers. C-6 trans was rebuilt by me less than 800 miles ago and has a shift kit and new Hughes street rod type converter. Stock ex manifolds with duals and stainless Dynomax mufflers. 9” open rear with 3.25 gears. New bearings in center when I put the gears in a year or so ago. New gear reduction starter, new Carter hot rod fuel pump, rebuilt alt and regulator.
All brakes and suspension has been rebuilt. Has 16” Torque Thrust II (8” and 7”wide) wheels and very good tires. Have a set of 14” Magnum 500’s (some rust on them).
Body is VERY straight for a 49 yr old car. Paint is a 7-8 about 16-17 yrs old. Interior redone,, new carpet, seats headliner, door panels. give it a 9.5. Car has a very rare factory in-dash air that cost over 10% of the price of the car. Have new dryer, hoses and exp valve to get AC going again. Evaporator cleaned, pressure tested and capped off when I put a new heater core in. Have copy of dealer invoice. Bumpers and taillight bezels are re-chromed originals. Shows 141xxx on odometer. Car was built end of March 67 in Atlanta, sold around Washington DC and was in Virginia until 16 yrs ago. Prior owner went to the Carlisle Nationals and bought it and brought to Alabama. He had it for 8 yrs and I have owned about 8.
Straight talk about the issues any old car has: Body is very straight. 1 door ding and only exterior rust is a small area (less than palm size) with bubbled paint just in front of driver’s rear wheel at bottom. Floors solid with no rust. Only underside rust is a palm size area in the trunk. It’s on flat metal with no leaks and no place to hold water. It’s over where the factory exhaust ended, so I think it was caused by heat/cooling condensation. Easy fix. Chrome and trim is a 9.5/10. Only pieces not a 10 are around vent and quarter windows. Paint is a 7-8, has some chips a few tree sap marks. Would be a very easy repaint project. Car has a color change, was a bronze color. Jams and under hood repainted, but inside trunk shows original. Could use a couple of ball joint boots. Everything was rebuilt and has less than 8K miles, but it was rebuilt years ago and dry rot got the boots.

Damn,
You just took me back in time to my senior year in high school 1984. My first car was a 1967 Fairlane.

Sold!
I'll let the new owner ID himself if he wants. He is a member of this board. Hated to see it go, but time for some new blood in the garage.

I've been to your place and I knew you were no stranger to such cars. That's why I suspected you. The local transaction would've been a breeze, too.
Somebody got a nice car.
