Photobucket
Has anyone noticed that Photobucket has gone mad with the ads? It is almost impossible to use anymore. The other day I read they have a new "fee" structure and you need have to pay if you want any of your links to work. If you look at Dougs post in the sbf hemi thread below you will see what they do now.

Re: Photobucket
Yep, time to start looking for another site to host photos. I've only used 19% of the 11.9 gb's that is advertised as free, but now they want to charge me for the links. The site is crazy with Ads and it certainly doesn't work as good as it use too.
Re: Photobucket

Re: Photobucket
It's probably a bandwidth usage over/under thing that's their deciding factor if they block the pics or not. Just did a quick search and my PB pics still seem to show up here (so far anyway). But then I don't post as many pics as others do so my bandwidth usage is probably a lot lower.
I guess a temporary/permanent workaround is to just post PB pic links without embedding them, (if you didn't want the hassle of moving the pics to a new host).

Re: Photobucket
It's a shame that photo bucket has done this. We've lost a lot of great pictures from a lot of people, and one that we may never get back is the series of pics that Qkiss put up on the beautiful work he is doing on the '64 Fairlane, his was almost a tutorial on metal work.

Re: Photobucket
I notice that all of the Vendors at the top of this sites Home Page have the same message. The links still work to their website, but photos are gone.
Re: Photobucket
All my pics from old phones I have had I sent to Photobucket now I got to figure out how to get them off with out them trying to charge me to move them. Then I delete them off of the bucket

Don't bow to these blackmailers ... other sites don't use photobucket so, there must be another way.
Right now, if photos need to be sent, send them through private emails.
Re: Photobucket
I just used the one offered here when you post a pic? Not as easy as photosucket but????? All my older ones are on that serving.com.

Damn, I never realized we had storage on here. How much space do we have?
Re: Photobucket
Never mine. I just tried to upload one and got this message. "You cannot upload any photos to the gallery because the storage limit has been reached." Apparently all of that space is used up.

Re: Photobucket
Not sure why pb took a huge jump from free to 400 bucks.
There is another way to post pics tho.
If you have photos on other sites you can right click on the pic and select "copy image address"
Then when you want to post the image on a forum do this:
This is my pic from my fb account using the link as posted above ^^

Re: Photobucket
I could understand charging to keep any future photos but, to hold all the older photos hostage is just wrong.
