Keep a rebuild kit handy with you at all times. New seals & gaskets, as that is what the methanol attacks.

NO  ... it has an aluminum housing and Buna rubber seals ... it will last for a while.

Don't need a whole lot of fuel, but I do want the pump to last.

I have a black pump that the seal went out on lasted about a year from alky. Called Holley at that time they told me the rebuild kit for it so I ordered it but no seal. I called them back then he told me the kit doesn't come with the seal for the motor shaft and they didn't offer a replacement seal for the shaft at that time they may now it's been a few years back. I went and bought a new a aeromotive pump and replaced it. Still got the black pump in a box might try to fix it one day
